No.1: Spain – Nominations

Among the multitude of recipes that make up the varied cuisines of Spain, a few can be considered common to all or almost all of Spain’s regions, even though some of them have an origin known and associated with specific places. Examples include most importantly potato omelette (“tortilla de patata”, “tortilla española” or just “tortilla”), paella, various stewsmigassausages (such as embutidoschorizo, and morcilla), jamón serrano, and cheeses.

We aim to be as broadly representative of each of FIFA’s member nations as possible. Spain’s regional cuisine varies but, as Wikipedia explains above, a few staple dishes clearly remain.

It shall be tapas.

Current nominations are:

Angels and Gypsies, SE5

Jose, Bermondsey

Laxeiro, Columbia Road

Please add your nominations in the comments below. EatFIFA shall dine on Friday 28th October.
